Enjoy & thanks for reading.
Evening all, So I've been a bit lax on the owld blog front, but the world has tied me down...nah, just going through some big steps in life & that seems to take up alot of time! This blog can be a perfect opportunity to give a subjective take on what I'm getting up to...It will not answer the daily question of 'What pen's do you use...?'...buut It will let you know what's next, what may have snook by & what type of hand towel I like to use...
So I've churned out a few t-shirts this month, with all 3 equally cruising to my most popular set of designs. The wolf artwork, needed to be drawn & because I'm in the middle of commission lock-down, time was pretty rare. I decided to just do a quick, rough sketch, & maybe go back to it when I had the time. 2 hours later is was up online, everyone went nuts, & then within 30 mins It was a fully fledged member of the BearHug stockpile. I'm really pleased how the t-shirt turned out, the artwork fit the t-shirt really well & works right across the sizes. In comparison the Johnny Cash T, started out a few months back & I was unsure whether to get it made up - In the end It was a really strong design & had to be turned into a limited edition T (less than 15 left by the way)...Lastly is the new sweatshirt, this I'm really excited about & close to taking delivery - I'm planning a whole post about it in a few days, so keep an eye out.
So in other news - I've had an idea I've wanted to do for quite a while now, but never really wanted to rush it. I'm looking to start up a quarterly, limited edition, print & t-shirt set. Every 3 months each member will receive -
- An A3, 300gsm+, Stamped, Signed & Numbered, Limited Edition Print.
- A Numbered, 100% Cotton, High Quality T-Shirt.
- A Piece of BearHug Authenticity.
- Sent in customised BearHug Packaging.
I'm talking really low numbers, just a cool project that I'll be able to focus on & document over the year. It will give me alot more freedom & time to work out building a quality, original, & inspiring set of artwork. This is something that won't start until I gauge the numbers, I'm going to approach selected BearHuggers & look to fill the quota to people who have supported & appreciated the work up until this point.
I'd be looking to keep the set to between £35-50 every 3 months, That includes everything stated above & postage.

Anyways, cheers for reading.
Afternoon to you...just a quick one - but I thought I'd update you on all the goings on!
So the past few weeks have been a little bit mental - obviously a good mental. Aswell as working through various projects, I've had the release of a new t-shirt 'She Still Has It'
// The release of a new Screenprint 'THE KING IS DEAD. LONG LIVE THE KING'
// and the launch of the 'Art of Front'
exhibition. Heres some pics of the print I produced for the show, aswell as the Van's I customised....
So If you follow my moves regularly...then stop - I'll call the police. Nayyy, of course I mean my interweb movements, well If you do you'll know that the grey 'Bear No.1' T-Shurryyt is now available! I'm beyond happy with this one - the feel of the t-shirt, the placement, and the detail of the finished artwork...
So I was going to leave this a little bit later in life to tell you about...but I realised it's only 2 weeks away & I know how people like to plan ahead. This is a short exhibition that will be running from 21st-25th of February, at The Black Heart in Camden - Organised by Front Magazine, & sponsored by Vans. It's with some big hitters in the Illustration/Graphic Artist 'world'...I was very tempted to say 'game' - but we all know I wouldn't of been able to pull it off.
In other news, I'll have a new screenprint available in the next 7-10 days. Keep an eye out, as it's a limited edition of 50. Also contemplating making a batch of BearHug logo T-Shirts, which will be priced around £10-12 - let me know If you like the design & would be interested ordering...
So I made a last minute decision to film myself drawing, it's not the greatest process video out there - but you get the idea behind how i construct each of my drawings. It's sped up, because If it wasn't...you'd miss your next meal. Hopefully in the distant future, I'll make an even fancier, more thought filled version - not something that resembles the Blair Witch Project...
Obviously this is just an 25 minute sketch, using letraset promarkers...but like I said you get the idea of how it all works!
Anyways stick with it, even it's just for the music! (Beastie Boys).

Also look out for the new 'Bear No.1' T-Shirt that will be available from Feb 1st!......and the new logo T will be available shortly after.
Anyways, all the best for the week - keep it touch & let me know what you think of video!
